The Paetow Panthers topped the visiting Wharton Tigers basketball team by a final score of 74-65 in Saturday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Panthers face the Katy Tigers (Katy, TX) in a 6A Region III District 19 game, on Monday, December 12. Paetow will attempt to move on its 5-7 season record. The Tigers enter the game with a 7-7 record after their 59-44 league loss to Jordan (Fulshear, TX).

With the defeat, Wharton moves to 7-7 on the year. The Tigers travel to Schulenburg (Schulenburg, TX) to face the Shorthorns in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 13.
