The Petaluma Trojans basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Rancho Cotate Cougars to 34 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Trojans now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Santa Rosa for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 20.

The Cougars (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Novato (Novato, CA). The Hornets enter the non-league contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, Novato was defeated by Archie Williams (San Anselmo, CA), 73-51, in a league contest.
