Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Elm Creek Buffaloes (Elm Creek, NE) and the visiting Ansley/Litchfield Spartans (Ansley, NE), saw Elm Creek's basketball squad overcome Ansley/Litchfield by a tally of 49-35.

With the victory, Elm Creek improves its record to 1-4 on the campaign. The Buffaloes host Bertrand (Bertrand, NE) to encounter the Vikings in a non-league outing on Friday, December 16. The Vikings go into the outing with a record of 0-3.

The Spartans now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Axtell for a non-league outing on Thursday, December 15. Ansley/Litchfield will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 54-24 non-league win over Harvard (Harvard, NE). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-3.
