Georgia High School Basketball - Wayne County nips Brantley County
December 10, 2022: Jesup, GA 31545 Wayne County Yellow Jackets (Jesup, GA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Brantley County Herons (Nahunta, GA), 35-31 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Wayne County upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Yellow Jackets host Long County (Ludowici, GA) to play the Blue Tide in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Blue Tide go into the bout with a record of 2-4.
Next up, the Herons play the Pierce County Bears (Blackshear, GA) in a AA Region 3 bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Brantley County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 71-49 non-league loss to Charlton County (Folkston, GA).
