Iowa High School Basketball - Burlington holds off Waterloo East
December 10, 2022: Waterloo, IA 50703 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Burlington Grayhounds (Burlington, IA) and the host Waterloo East Trojans (Waterloo, IA), saw Burlington's basketball squad hold off Waterloo East by a tally of 57-55.
With the victory, Burlington improves its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Grayhounds travel to Galesburg (Galesburg, IL) to confront the Silver Streaks in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 17. The Silver Streaks come into the challenge with a record of 9-2.
Next up, the Trojans confront the Des Moines East Scarlets (Des Moines, IA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 13. Waterloo East will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record. The Scarlets come into the contest with a 0-3 record after their 84-4 league loss to Roosevelt (Des Moines, IA).
