Texas High School Basketball - Goliad thwarts Calhoun
December 10, 2022: Goliad, TX 77963 The Goliad Tigers (Goliad, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting Calhoun Sandcrabs (Port Lavaca, TX), 42-30 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Tigers (7-5) will now prepare for their test against Sinton (Sinton, TX). The Pirates go into the non-league test with a 5-12 record. In their last test, Sinton went down by Skidmore-Tynan (Skidmore, TX), 52-28, in a non-league test.
The Sandcrabs now own a 2-10 record. They play next when they travel to Jones for a 4A Region IV District 30 test on Friday, December 16. Calhoun will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 50-25 non-league win over West Oso (Corpus Christi, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 13-4.
