The Community Braves basketball team (Nevada, TX), was nudged 41-38 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Rivercrest Rebels (Bogata, TX)

The Rebels now possess a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pittsburg for a non-league battle on Monday, December 12. Rivercrest will confront a Pirates team coming off a 40-25 non-league loss to Longview (Longview, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 3-5.

The Braves (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against Farmersville (Farmersville, TX). The Farmers come into the 4A Region II District 14 battle with a 5-7 record. In their last battle, Farmersville edged Blue Ridge (Blue Ridge, TX), 57-41, in a non-league battle.
