The James Monroe Mavericks (Lindside, WV) basketball crushed the host Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA), 69-29 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Mavericks (1-2) will now prepare for their test against Greenbrier West (Charmco, WV). The Cavaliers go into the Coalfield A test with a 1-0 record.
