Virginia High School Basketball - Oakcrest nips Madeira
December 10, 2022: McLean, VA 22102 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Oakcrest Chargers (McLean, VA) and the host Madeira Snails (McLean, VA), saw Oakcrest's basketball squad hold off Madeira by a tally of 38-36.
With the victory, Oakcrest improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Highland (Warrenton, VA) to play the Hawks in a Greater Piedmont challenge on Monday, December 12. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 4-1. Highland lost 41-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Immanuel Christian (Springfield, VA)
Next up, the Snails play the Seton Conquistadors (Manassas, VA) in a VISAA Division II challenge, on Tuesday, December 13. Madeira will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Conquistadors come into the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 56-46 non-league loss to Steward (Richmond, VA).
