Sandy Creek Cougars (Fairfield, NE) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Shelby-Rising City Huskies (Shelby, NE), 51-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sandy Creek upgrades its record to 1-3 on the season. The Cougars travel to Holdrege (Holdrege, NE) to play the Dusters in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Dusters go into the bout with a record of 0-3. Holdrege lost 46-28 in their recent non-league bout against Ogallala (Ogallala, NE)

Next up, the Huskies play the Heartland Huskies (Henderson, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Shelby-Rising City will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 44-38 non-league win over Exeter-Milligan (Exeter, NE).
