The Watsonville Wildcatz basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Carlmont Scots to 27 in the Wildcatz non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Wildcatz now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Salinas for a contest on Tuesday, January 3.

The Scots (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Notre Dame (Belmont, CA). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Notre Dame ran past Balboa (San Francisco, CA), 23-7, in a non-league contest.
