Maryland High School Basketball - Goretti holds off John Carroll
December 10, 2023: Hagerstown, MD 21740 Fans at Sunday's league challenge between the Goretti Gael (Hagerstown, MD) and the visiting John Carroll Patriots (Bel Air, MD), saw Goretti's basketball squad hold off John Carroll by a tally of 78-71.
With the victory, Goretti improves its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Gael travel to Georgetown Prep (North Bethesda, MD) to confront the Little Hoyas in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 23. The Little Hoyas come into the challenge with a record of 6-1.
Next up, the Patriots confront the Calvert Hall Cardinals (Baltimore, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 13. John Carroll will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 55-52 league win over McDonogh (Owings Mills, MD).
