Illinois High School Basketball - Christopher bested by Frankfort
December 10, 2024: West Frankfort, IL 62896 Frankfort Redbirds (West Frankfort, IL) fans went home pleased Tuesday as they observed their basketball team knock off the visiting Christopher Bearcats (Christopher, IL), 46-37 in a non-league challenge.
The Redbirds (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Pinckneyville (Pinckneyville, IL). The Panthers come into the Southern Illinois River-to-River - Mississippi challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, Pinckneyville was knocked off by Carlyle (Carlyle, IL), 67-55, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Bearcats encounter the Woodlawn Cardinals (Woodlawn, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 13. Christopher will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 30-29 non-league win over Greenville (Greenville, IL).
