Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Deer Lakes holds off Mohawk Area
December 10, 2024: Russellton, PA 15076 The Deer Lakes Lancers basketball team scored 80 points and limited the visiting Mohawk Area Warriors to 76 in the Lancers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Lancers now have a 4-1 record. They play next when they host Freeport for a WPIAL 4A 1 game on Friday, December 13. Deer Lakes will confront a Yellowjackets team coming off a 80-42 non-league loss to Plum (Pittsburgh, PA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 1-4.
With the loss, Mohawk Area falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Riverside (Ellwood City, PA) to confront the Panthers in a WPIAL 3A 1 game on Friday, December 13. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 5-0. Riverside won 59-44 in their recent non-league game against Western Beaver (Industry, PA)
