Martinsville Artesians (Martinsville, IN) fans went home pleased Tuesday as they observed their basketball team edge the visiting Indian Creek Braves (Trafalgar, IN), 78-71 in a non-league challenge.

The Artesians (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Plainfield (Plainfield, IN). The Quakers come into the Mid-State challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Plainfield was tipped by Carmel (Carmel, IN), 52-30, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Braves clash with the Cloverdale Clovers (Cloverdale, IN) in a Western Indiana outing, on Friday, December 13. Indian Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Clovers come into the outing with a 1-2 record after their 72-59 non-league loss to Southmont (Crawfordsville, IN).
