Maine High School Basketball - South Portland thwarts Lewiston
December 10, 2024: South Portland, ME 04106 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the South Portland Red Riots (South Portland, ME) and the visiting Lewiston Blue Devils (Lewiston, ME), observed South Portland's basketball team knock off Lewiston by a score of 62-46.
The Red Riots (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Scarborough (Scarborough, ME). The Red Storm come into the AA South challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Scarborough prevailed over Portland (Portland, ME), 61-53, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Blue Devils encounter the Freeport Falcons (Freeport, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 13. Lewiston will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 50-46 league loss to Brunswick (Brunswick, ME).
