The Morristown-Hamblen East Hurricanes (Morristown, TN) basketball edged the visiting William Blount Governors (Maryville, TN), 53-49 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Hurricanes now possess a 2-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sevier County for a 4A District 2 test on Friday, December 13. Morristown-Hamblen East will clash with a Smoky Bears squad coming off a 68-55 non-league win over Gatlinburg-Pittman (Gatlinburg, TN). The Smoky Bears record now stands at 4-1.
