The North Buncombe Black Hawks basketball squad (Weaverville, NC), was outscored 76-67 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC)

With the victory, Owen advances its record to 2-2 on the year. The Warhorses travel to Draughn (Valdese, NC) to meet the Wildcats in a 1A/2A Western Highlands battle on Tuesday, December 17. The Wildcats enter the battle with a record of 1-6. Draughn lost 61-48 in their recent non-league battle against R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC)

The Black Hawks now own a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Freedom for a non-league battle on Friday, December 13. North Buncombe will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 80-40 non-league win over Draughn (Valdese, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 6-1.
