Georgia High School Basketball - Cherokee Bluff thwarts Banks County
December 10, 2024: Homer, GA 30547 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Cherokee Bluff Bears (Flowery Branch, GA) and the host Banks County Leopards (Homer, GA), observed Cherokee Bluff's basketball team knock off Banks County by a score of 52-37.
The Bears (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Franklin County (Carnesville, GA). The Lions come into the non-league challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Franklin County was knocked off by Daniel (Central, SC), 66-41, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Leopards encounter the Elbert County Blue Devils (Elberton, GA) in a A D1 Region 8 challenge, on Friday, December 13. Banks County will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 7-0 record after their 72-22 non-league win over Stephens County (Toccoa, GA).
