The Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains (Bascom, OH) basketball edged the visiting Mohawk Warriors (Sycamore, OH), 37-36 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Chieftains now possess a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Calvert for a Sandusky Bay - River bout on Thursday, December 12. Hopewell-Loudon will play a Senecas team coming off a 67-47 league win over St. Joseph Central Catholic (Fremont, OH). The Senecas record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Mohawk falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Buckeye Central (New Washington, OH) to play the Bucks in a non-league bout on Friday, December 13.
