West Virginia High School Basketball - Notre Dame can't get by Charleston Catholic
December 10, 2025: Charleston, WV 25301 Charleston Catholic Irish (Charleston, WV) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Notre Dame Fighting Irish (Clarksburg, WV), 44-38 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Charleston Catholic advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Irish host Doddridge County (West Union, WV) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league contest on Saturday, December 13. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a record of 1-0. Doddridge County won 70-45 in their recent league contest against Tyler (Sistersville, WV)
In their next game, the Fighting Irish battle the Trinity Christian Warriors (Morgantown, WV) in a Ohio Valley A contest, on Friday, December 12. Notre Dame will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Warriors come into the contest with a 1-0 record after their 80-55 league win over Valley (Pine Grove, WV).
