In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host Deer Valley Wolverines basketball team scored a close 67-63 win over the San Leandro Pirates.

The Wolverines (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Emerald (Dublin, CA). The Aerouants come into the contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Emerald tipped Ripon (Ripon, CA), 52-51, in a non-league match.
