Illinois High School Basketball - Waltonville triumphant over Sandoval
December 10, 2025: Sandoval, IL 62882 The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Waltonville Spartans (Waltonville, IL) and the host Sandoval Blackhawks (Sandoval, IL), observed Waltonville's basketball team overwhelm Sandoval by a score of 70-31.
The Spartans (6-0) will now prepare for their battle against Norris City-Omaha-Enfield (Norris City, IL). The Fighting Cardinals enter the non-league battle with a 5-2 record. In their last battle, Norris City-Omaha-Enfield walloped Carmi-White County (Carmi, IL), 51-41, in a non-league battle.
The Blackhawks now own a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Grayville for a Midland Trail battle on Friday, December 12. Sandoval will meet a Bison squad coming off a 82-74 non-league win over Elverado (Elkville, IL). The Bison record now stands at 2-3.
