North Carolina High School Basketball - East Wake thwarts Fike
December 10, 2025: Wilson, NC 27893 Fans at Wednesday's non-league battle between the East Wake Warriors (Wendell, NC) and the host Fike Golden Demons (Wilson, NC), witnessed East Wake's basketball squad prevail over Fike by a count of 55-43.
With the victory, East Wake advances its record to 4-5 on the year. The Warriors travel to Southern School of Energy and Sustainability (Durham, NC) to meet the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 16. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 6-3. Southern School of Energy and Sustainability won 43-35 in their recent non-league challenge against GRACE Christian (Raleigh, NC)
In their next game, the Golden Demons encounter the Rocky Mount Gryphons (Rocky Mount, NC) in a Big East 5A/6A challenge, on Friday, December 12. Fike will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Gryphons come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 59-39 non-league win over SouthWest Edgecombe (Pinetops, NC).
