New York High School Basketball - Mount Sinai can't hold off Central Islip

December 11, 2021: Central Islip, NY 11722

The Central Islip Musketeers basketball team scored 74 points and held the visiting Mount Sinai Mustangs to 68 in the Musketeers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Musketeers now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Patchogue-Medford for a Section 11 AA-1 contest on Tuesday, December 14. Central Islip will battle a Raiders team coming off a 61-58 non-league win over Eastport-South Manor (Manorville, NY). The Raiders record now stands at 2-1.

The Mustangs (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Hampton Bays (Hampton Bays, NY). The Baymen enter the Section 11 A-6 contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, Hampton Bays was nudged by Shoreham-Wading River (Shoreham, NY), 51-49, in a league contest.
