The O'Donnell Eagles basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Sands Mustangs to 34 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Eagles now sport a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Borden County for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 14. O'Donnell will battle a Coyotes team coming off a 77-34 non-league loss to New Deal (New Deal, TX). The Coyotes record now stands at 1-3.

The Mustangs (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Ira (Ira, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Ira ran past Loop (Loop, TX), 58-29, in a non-league contest.
