Michigan High School Basketball - South Lyon can't hold off Athens
December 11, 2021: South Lyon, MI 48178 The Athens Red Hawks basketball team scored 45 points and restricted the host South Lyon Lions to 41 in the Red Hawks league victory on Saturday.
The Red Hawks now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Farmington for a Oakland - White contest on Tuesday, December 14. Athens will battle a Falcons team coming off a 38-36 non-league win over Walled Lake Western (Walled Lake, MI). The Falcons record now stands at 1-0.
The Lions (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Walled Lake Northern (Commerce, MI). The Knights come into the Lakes Valley contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Walled Lake Northern was nudged by Adams (Rochester, MI), 28-24, in a non-league contest.
