In Saturday's non-league outing, the Piner Prospectors (Santa Rosa, CA) basketball squad nipped the visiting Casa Grande Gauchos (Petaluma, CA), by a score of 46-40.

The Prospectors now sport a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Montgomery for a non-league battle on Monday, January 3.

The Gauchos (6-1) will now prepare for their test against De Anza (El Sobrante, CA). The Dons go into the non-league test with a 2-5 record.
