Kentucky High School Basketball - Montgomery County holds off Cooper
December 11, 2021: Mt. Sterling, KY 40353 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Montgomery County Indians (Mt. Sterling, KY) and the visiting Cooper Jaguars (Union, KY), saw Montgomery County's basketball squad hold off Cooper by a tally of 58-55.
With the victory, Montgomery County improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Dixie Heights (Edgewood, KY) to confront the Colonels in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 18. The Colonels go into the test with a record of 6-1.
The Jaguars now own a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Ryle for a District 33 test on Tuesday, December 14. Cooper will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 61-50 non-league win over Holy Cross (Covington, KY). The Raiders record now stands at 5-0.
