December 11, 2023: Sigourney, IA 52591 The Sigourney Savages (Sigourney, IA) basketball crushed the visiting Cardinal Comets (Eldon, IA), 87-43 in Monday's non-league test.
The Savages (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Iowa Valley (Marengo, IA). The Tigers go into the South Iowa Cedar test with a 2-3 record. In their last test, Iowa Valley was trounced by Belle Plaine (Belle Plaine, IA), 69-38, in a league test.
The Comets now own a 0-6 record. They play next when they host Davis County for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 12. Cardinal will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 78-22 league loss to Knoxville (Knoxville, IA). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-3.
