Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Hamburg Lions (Hamburg, AR) and the visiting Junction City Dragons (Junction City, AR), saw Hamburg's basketball squad hold off Junction City by a tally of 56-54.

With the victory, Hamburg improves its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Lions travel to McGehee (McGehee, AR) to confront the Owls in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 15. The Owls come into the challenge with a record of 5-1.
