December 11, 2023: Carrollton, TX 75006 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Newman Smith Trojans (Carrollton, TX) and the visiting Sherman Bearcats (Sherman, TX), saw Newman Smith's basketball squad wallop Sherman by a tally of 58-35.
With the victory, Newman Smith improves its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Trojans host Pinkston (Dallas, TX) to play the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 15. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 7-9. Pinkston won 82-29 in their recent non-league challenge against Newman International Academy (Cedar Hill, TX)
Next up, the Bearcats play the North Mesquite Stallions (Mesquite, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 15. Sherman will attempt to improve on its 14-1 season record. The Stallions come into the challenge with a 7-8 record after their 73-60 non-league loss to Wakeland (Frisco, TX).
