Minnesota High School Basketball - Cromwell holds off Deer River
December 11, 2023: Deer River, MN 56636 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Cromwell Cardinals (Cromwell, MN) and the host Deer River Warriors (Deer River, MN), saw Cromwell's basketball squad hold off Deer River by a tally of 57-52.
With the victory, Cromwell improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Cloquet (Cloquet, MN) to confront the Lumberjacks in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Lumberjacks come into the challenge with a record of 4-0. Cloquet won 67-49 in their recent league challenge against Grand Rapids (Grand Rapids, MN)
Next up, the Warriors confront the Cherry Tigers (Iron, MN) in a A Section 7 challenge, on Thursday, December 14. Deer River will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 50-48 non-league win over Barnum (Barnum, MN).
