Oregon High School Basketball - Newport knocked off by Westside Christian
December 11, 2023: Newport, OR 97365 The Westside Christian Eagles basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Newport Cubs to 38 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Monday.
The Eagles now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host King's Way Christian for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 14. Westside Christian will meet a Knights team coming off a 44-28 non-league win over De La Salle North Catholic (Portland, OR). The Knights record now stands at 2-2.
The Cubs (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Tillamook (Tillamook, OR). The Cheesemakers enter the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Tillamook ran past Valley Catholic (Beaverton, OR), 62-43, in a non-league contest.
