December 11, 2024: Stanton, KY 40380 The Powell County Pirates basketball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Paintsville Tigers to 0 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Pirates now possess a 5-1 record. They play next when they host Owsley County for a District 56 game on Friday, December 13.
With the loss, Paintsville falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Russell (Russell, KY) to confront the Red Devils in a non-league game on Saturday, December 14. The Red Devils go into the game with a record of 2-1. Russell lost 58-50 in their recent non-league game against Lewis County (Vanceburg, KY)
