The Tuscola Mountaineers basketball squad (Waynesville, NC), was outscored 54-38 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Andrews Wildcats (Andrews, NC)

With the victory, Andrews advances its record to 3-2 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Cherokee (Cherokee, NC) to meet the Braves in a 1A Big Smoky battle on Friday, December 13. The Braves enter the battle with a record of 4-0. Cherokee won 108-12 in their recent non-league battle against Blue Ridge Early College (Cashiers, NC)

The Mountaineers now own a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Franklin for a 3A Mountain 7 battle on Tuesday, December 17.
