December 11, 2024: Brooksville, FL 34601 Hernando Leopards (Brooksville, FL) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting South Sumter Raiders (Bushnell, FL), 41-38 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Hernando advances its record to 5-1 on the year. The Leopards travel to Lecanto (Lecanto, FL) to face the Panthers in a non-league match on Friday, December 13. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 5-1. Lecanto won 50-26 in their recent non-league match against Mitchell (New Port Richey, FL)
The Raiders now own a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Eustis for a non-league match on Monday, December 16. South Sumter will face a Panthers squad coming off a 28-26 non-league win over Lyman (Longwood, FL). The Panthers record now stands at 2-0.
