December 11, 2024: New Port Richey, FL 34655 Lecanto Panthers (Lecanto, FL) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Mitchell Mustangs (New Port Richey, FL), 50-26 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Lecanto advances its record to 5-1 on the year. The Panthers host Hernando (Brooksville, FL) to face the Leopards in a non-league match on Friday, December 13. The Leopards enter the match with a record of 5-1. Hernando won 41-38 in their recent non-league match against South Sumter (Bushnell, FL)
The Mustangs now own a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sunlake for a non-league match on Thursday, December 12. Mitchell will face a Seahawks squad coming off a 36-34 non-league loss to Palm Harbor University (Palm Harbor, FL). The Seahawks record now stands at 1-1.
