December 11, 2024: Andover, MA 01810 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Phillips Academy Big Blue (Andover, MA) and the visiting Thayer Academy Tigers (Braintree, MA), witnessed Phillips Academy's ice hockey team hold off Thayer Academy by a score of 3-2.
The Big Blue (3-0) will now prepare for their challenge against New Hampton School (New Hampton, NH). The Huskies come into the non-league challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, New Hampton School was nipped by Tilton School (Tilton, NH), 3-2, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Rivers Red Wings (Weston, MA) in a challenge, on Friday, December 13. Thayer Academy will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record.
