December 11, 2024: Booneville, KY 41314 Owsley County Owls / Lady Owls (Booneville, KY) boosters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Cordia Lions (Hazard, KY), 42-32 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Owsley County upgrades its record to 1-1 on the year. The Owls / Lady Owls host Oneida Baptist Institute (Oneida, KY) to face the Mountaineers in a non-league match on Saturday, December 14. The Mountaineers enter the match with a record of 0-1. Oneida Baptist Institute lost 55-20 in their recent non-league match against North Laurel (London, KY)
The Lions now sport a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Buckhorn for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 11.
