In Thursday's non-league test, the Perrin-Whitt Pirates (Perrin, TX) basketball squad trounced the host Azle Christian Fighting Crusaders (Azle, TX), by a score of 73-23.

Next, the Pirates encounter the Merkel Badgers (Merkel, TX) in a non-league test, on Friday, December 12. Perrin-Whitt will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Badgers come into the test with a 3-2 record after their 57-53 non-league win over Westbrook (Westbrook, TX).

With the loss, Azle Christian falls to 1-8 on the campaign. The Fighting crusaders travel to Clariden (Southlake, TX) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Friday, December 12. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Clariden lost 41-40 in their recent non-league bout against Flint Academy (Arlington, TX)
