The Blue Valley North Mustangs basketball team scored 53 points and limited the visiting Washburn Rural Blues to 38 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Mustangs now possess a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Lee's Summit for a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 16. Blue Valley North will play a Tigers team coming off a 55-49 league loss to Rockhurst (Kansas City, MO). The Tigers record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Washburn Rural falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Blues travel to Highland Park (Topeka, KS) to play the Scots in a non-league bout on Friday, December 12. The Scots go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Highland Park lost 62-48 in their recent non-league bout against Blue Valley West (Stilwell, KS)
