The Whitewright Tigers basketball team scored 44 points and limited the visiting Bowie Pirates to 39 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Tigers now have a 5-0 record. They play next when they travel to Prairiland for a non-league game on Saturday, December 13. Whitewright will clash with a Patriots squad coming off a 63-39 non-league win over Bowie (Simms, TX). The Patriots record now stands at 10-3.

The Pirates (8-5) will now prepare for their game against Quitman (Quitman, TX). The Bulldogs go into the non-league game with a 1-7 record.
