In Thursday's non-league test, the Sabine Pass Sharks (Sabine Pass, TX) basketball squad knocked off the host Shepherd Pirates (Shepherd, TX), by a score of 76-58.

The Sharks (10-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Orangefield (Orangefield, TX). The Bobcats come into the non-league challenge with a 7-2 record. In their last challenge, Orangefield prevailed over Jim Ned (Tuscola, TX), 72-56, in a non-league challenge.
