The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the West Texas Comanches (Stinnett, TX) and the visiting Fort Elliott Cougars (Briscoe, TX), observed West Texas's basketball team edge Fort Elliott by a score of 38-34.

The Comanches (9-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Gruver (Gruver, TX). The Greyhounds come into the 2A Region I District 1 battle with a 8-3 record. In their last battle, Gruver tipped Dumas (Dumas, TX), 50-23, in a non-league battle.
