The Merced Bears were victorious over the visiting Central Valley Hawks basketball squad by a final score of 53-42 in Thursday's non-league outing.

Next, the Bears clash with the Madera South Stallions (Madera, CA) in a non-league outing, on Friday, December 12. Merced will attempt to upgrade on its 8-0 season record. The Stallions enter the outing with a 0-1 record after their 39-18 non-league loss to Coalinga (Coalinga, CA).

With the loss, Central Valley falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Hughson (Hughson, CA) to confront the Huskies in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 16. The Huskies go into the game with a record of 4-3. Hughson won 51-38 in their recent non-league game against Beyer (Modesto, CA)
