The Portage Mustangs basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the visiting North Star Cougars to 47 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Monday.

The Mustangs now sport a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Homer-Center for a Heritage contest on Wednesday, December 14. Portage will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 50-37 non-league win over Apollo Ridge (Spring Church, PA). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-3.

The Cougars (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Rockwood (Rockwood, PA). The Rockets come into the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Rockwood was routed by Windber (Windber, PA), 66-29, in a non-league contest.
