New York High School Basketball - Cortland crushes Homer
December 12, 2022: Homer, NY 13077 Cortland Purple Tigers (Cortland, NY) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Homer Trojans (Homer, NY), 66-37 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Cortland upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Purple Tigers host Jamesville-DeWitt (DeWitt, NY) to play the Red Rams in a Section 3 Freedom bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Red Rams come into the bout with a record of 1-0. Jamesville-DeWitt won 34-27 in their recent non-league bout against Fayetteville-Manlius (Manlius, NY)
Next up, the Trojans play the Cazenovia Lakers (Cazenovia, NY) in a Section 3 Liberty bout, on Friday, December 16. Homer will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Lakers come into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 52-30 league win over Solvay (Solvay, NY).
