Mingus Marauders (Cottonwood, AZ) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Thunderbird Titans (Phoenix, AZ), 36-32 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Mingus upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign.

Next up, the Titans play the Estrella Foothills Wolves (Goodyear, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Thunderbird will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Wolves come into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 34-32 non-league win over Youngker (Buckeye, AZ).
