December 12, 2023: Knoxville, TN 37919 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Bearden Bulldogs (Knoxville, TN) and the visiting Alcoa Tornadoes (Alcoa, TN), saw Bearden's basketball squad overcome Alcoa by a tally of 79-71.
With the victory, Bearden improves its record to 11-1 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host West (Knoxville, TN) to play the Rebels in a 4A District 4 challenge on Friday, December 15. The Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 4-2. West lost 61-59 in their recent non-league challenge against Austin-East (Knoxville, TN)
Next up, the Tornadoes play the Hamilton Heights Christian Academy Hawks (Chattanooga, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 15. Alcoa will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 72-70 non-league loss to Christian Heritage (Dalton, GA).
